Course Instructors: Mansi Shah, Jennifer Rae Pierce
This installation was part of the course -Spatial planning and Environmental design offered by Jennifer Rae Pierce and Mansi Shah in 2014. The intent of this installation was to evoke a contact with nature, to change the mood of the studio temporarily. After the installation, there was a significant difference in the working atmosphere. Students had a chance to laze in the grass between the lectures, it enlivened the working ambience, there was a tone of cheerfulness and playfulness and it also provided a little respite from the hot summer.
We received an overwhelmingly positive feedback from the students. I feel benefits of interactive spaces when combined with greens are manifold and it is imperative to think and create working spaces that enjoyable, pleasant and the beneficial to the mental health.
This installation was done in done in Bplan 3rd year studio, in Faculty of planning, at CEPT University in 2014.
